The Sinfonie Orchester Biel Solothurn under its principal conductor Kaspar Zehnder has thus presented a world premiere recording of the highest quality.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.schweizerfonogramm.com\/cd\/joseph-lauber-1864-1952-4-und-5-sinfonie\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.schweizerfonogramm.com\/cd\/joseph-lauber-1864-1952-4-und-5-sinfonie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Listen in!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the two middle symphonies &#8211; the Fourth (1913) and the Fifth (1918) &#8211; the rediscovery journey in the footsteps of the forgotten Swiss composer Joseph Lauber enters its final round: although he did not turn his work into a confession in the period around the First World War and remained in the traditional four-movement form, Lauber surprises in both works: With odd time signatures, exotic instrumentation (xylophone, tambourine\u2026), with a wealth of melodic allusions &#8211; and even inserts a carillon melody that he claims to have heard while skiing in the Valais. A symphonist between the worlds and between the cultures &#8211; in the sense of sound a Frenchman, in the motivic design German and in the emotional internalisation thoroughly Swiss. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tobs.ch\/de\/tobs\/team\/portrait\/p\/20\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tobs.ch\/de\/tobs\/team\/portrait\/p\/20\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Sinfonie Orchester Biel Solothurn<\/strong><\/a> plays under the direction of  <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kasparzehnder.com\">Kaspar Zehnder.<\/a><\/strong> .
